We recommend you always turn on Instant Payment for your listings for two reasons:
- It helps you sell more items faster
- It protects your transactions
As the Depop community continues to grow, your safety is our top-priority, and we can only protect transactions that occur in Depop using the 'BUY' button.
Connecting your Depop shop to a secure and protected payment provider ensures that all sales made in Depop are protected.
As of May 2017 we've removed the Instant Payment option from all new listings. This means that:
- All new items listed are available for immediate purchase, and
- You will need to connect your PayPal account to Depop in order to list an item
Although you aren't required to go back and edit existing listings in your shop with Instant Payment turned off, we highly recommend that you do. Items with Instant Payment turned on show up in more search results and sell significantly quicker.
You can edit an item and turn Instant Payment on by navigating in-app to:
Profile > My Depop Shop > tap item > tap the '...' expand icon > tap edit item > turn the Instant Payment toggle on
